4 Common Myths About Mobile Homes

Mobile homes are gaining popularity nowadays and there are a lot of mobile homes across the world. However, there are many misconceptions and myths about these homes, which are actually false. In case you were looking for an affordable option for homeownership, then mobile homes are an amazing option. This article contains some widely believed mobile home myths that are actually untrue.

They are located in rundown trailer parks

This is a very common and weird visualization that people have in their minds. People have seen it in movies and these mobile home parks are portrayed as a place where poor people live, which is not true. But once you work inside or visit these mobile home parks, you will come to know that these parks are very well-maintained and the park management staff is also very amazing and cooperative. These mobile parks have their own maintenance crew and they also set a lot of standards for their homeowners, which is primarily done to make sure that the homeowners are taking proper care of their lot. In every community, there are various facilities that include a swimming pool, a gym, and many other amenities. The mobile home parks are located on amazing locations near big companies, such as Google and Samsung.

Unattractive

The second myth regarding mobile homes is that they are unattractive. However, you need to know that when the manufacturers are building a mobile home, they are very thoughtful about the floor plans. Furthermore, these floorplans can actually be customized to each client’s taste. Mobile homes are manufactured with quartz countertops, stainless steel kitchen appliances, stainless steel finishes, and floor lamination as well. All these things can be done in mobile homes to make them look attractive.

Poorly constructed and unsafe

Building a mobile home requires a lot of planning, hard work, and designing. It requires many different tests and many inspections also. Just to be clear, these inspections are done at a state level. There are a lot of requirements that mobile homes have to pass before people are allowed to move in. Every step of building a mobile home requires an inspection, for example, plumbing gets pressure tested several times throughout the building process. This test is done in the factory and on-site. In addition to this, there are earthquake inspections that these homes have to go through. All these tests are conducted by experts to ensure that they are constructed according to the standards of HUD and are safe for living.

Hard to finance

This is another famous myth related to mobile homes. This myth might have been true in the past but now this is not the case because mobile homes are getting popular and there are more options available for financing. Especially in case of new homes, there are multiple finance options and they are all specific to mobile homes that are constructed in a mobile home park or any other community.
